This first novel starts off a little generic using the worn-out premise of something bad happening while the hero is away from the village, but it ends with a lot of promise for the rest of the series.
King of Foxes - Book Two
This second book is pretty interesting in how the hero, Talwin Hawkins, must pose as a friend to his sworn enemy in order to get close enough to kill him. It packs in a few surprises along the way.
Exile's Return - Book Three
The final book in this trilogy is completely different from the first two, mainly because the villain from the previous book is now the hero of this one.
