I learned a new trick this morning!
A few years ago, I bought Stargate Resistance in order to review it for a site that I was writing for at the time. The game famously sucked and the company went tango uniform after a very short while. Since it was online only, this left the game unplayable and of course – no refunds. All this time later that stupid game has been in my Steam library taking up space and just bugging me…until now.
In order to remove a game from your Steam library, so that it doesn’t show up in the listing any more, all you have to do is this:
- Right click the title of the game in the left column
- Select “Set Categories…”
- Check the box that says “Hide this game in my library” and click OK
That’s it! Why they would hide this option under Set Categories is a bit strange, unless Steam does this on purpose so you don’t accidentally hide your games. Who knows? I’m just glad I don’t have to be reminded of that purchase any more.
